Well-being talks and activities
Over recent years, we have enjoyed several interesting presentations by individuals and organisations, based locally and further afield in Fort William and Inverness. Recent topics have ranged from Psychotherapy to Painting on Glass. These one-off or seasonal events are generally integrated with a regular ‘Open Doors’ session and prove very popular.
A Walk in the Woods
We are collaborating with Highlife Highland Countryside Rangers again this year to put on ‘Walk in the Woods’ events.
These events are currently ‘on hold’ due to Covid-19, but will be re-established as soon as possible.
Mental health awareness and self-help courses
From time to time we run multi-session mental health training courses, generally presented by external providers such as Action on Depression. These courses are normally put on at different times from the ‘Open Doors’ to avoid disrupting the regular sessions and offer therapeutic benefits. During the Covid-19 restrictions, these are being run online.
