Developing Community Support Workshops
During Covid-19, we feel that our community has shown great kindness and support for each other through things such as making an extra phone call or dropping off shopping and having a socially distanced chat. We believe that this has really brought us all together as we have looked out for each other.
Ewen’s Room is running a six-session workshop that will celebrate what people achieved and look to develop skills to empower individuals and our community to continue being there for each other through Covid-19 and beyond.
The workshops will run on Tuesdays from the 8th September to 13th October from 6pm to 7.30 pm.
The six workshops will explore:
Listening Skills (Tuesday 8th September)
Rapport Building (Tuesday 15th September)
The variety of mental health problems (Tuesday 22nd September)
Recognising people who may be experiencing difficulties (Tuesday 29th September)
Starting (difficult) conversations (Tuesday 6th October)
Drugs, Alcohol and Mental Health (Tuesday 13th October).
There will be a theme of ‘Mental Health First Aid’ running through the workshops. You do not need to attend every workshop, you can just register for and attend the ones that interest you.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the workshop.
