Well-being talks and activities
Over recent years, we have enjoyed several interesting presentations by individuals and organisations, based locally and further afield in Fort William and Inverness. Recent topics have ranged from Psychotherapy to Painting on Glass. These one-off or seasonal events are generally integrated with a regular ‘Open Doors’ session and prove very popular.
A Walk in the Woods
We are collaborating with Highlife Highland Countryside Rangers again this year to put on three themed ‘Walk in the Woods’ events. The first of the three gently walks will be on Tuesday 30th April from 1pm to 3:30pm in the Ariundle Oakwoods. The theme is the Gaelic Alphabet as each of the 18 letters in the Gaelic Alphabet relates to a tree. How many do you think we can find in the Ariundle Oakwoods?
You will need to pre-book as we need to know how many tea bags to bring (there may be some Health and Safety reasons too …), so please use the booking code 001764ARDN at https://booking.highlifehighland.com/ or contact Eilidh-Ann on 07884 102584 if you need help with booking.
Mental health awareness and self-help courses
From time to time we run multi-session mental health training courses, generally presented by external providers such as Action on Depression. These courses are normally put on at different times from the ‘Open Doors’ to avoid disrupting the regular sessions and offer therapeutic benefits. Please see our news section or Facebook for updates.
